A.S.F.R. stands for alt.sex.fetish.robots, the name of the early Usenet community from which the term ASFR developed. Today, ASFR is used for a community and interest centred on androids, fembots, malebots, cyborgs, human-like robots, robot transformation and related robot fiction.
ASFR.net is a community and reference resource documenting ASFR history, terminology and media, with a growing database of androids and robots in film and television, galleries, forums, an ASFR glossary and links to other community resources.
ASFR.net now has a custom made image AND video hosting platform which is as easy as simply hitting “Submit” on the form!
Over the past couple of weeks, I have been coding a cut-down version of a Flickr-style hosting platform. We designed this tool specifically for ASFR content creators, whether the content is image- or video-based. The forum’s member system links to the ASFR Community Gallery. If you register on the forum, your account will be ready for you in the gallery!
The Gallery system hosts all the usual image formats. Video formats WMV, MP4 and M4a up to 1 GB in size are accepted.
Privacy options are in the gallery system as well, along with full folder systems to organise collections of images and videos.
Today I decided to leave FemBotCentral. I have been a member of the various forms of that forum for almost two decades, but the sheer hatred of anything to do with AI, even enhanced images from an old TV show, was just too much.
After posting the image attached here into the Discord associated with FBC, i got a message from one of the Moderators saying it wasn’t allowed, i then stated that they probably don’t want me posting the finished enhanced video…to which they then said it would “break copyright”.
He was saying that in a Discord server which REGULARLY breaks copyright laws on a daily basis. Yeah, I had enough.
FBC and more, especially the main Discord associated with it is dying…that forum’s final nail in the coffin happened today…I changed the password for the ASFR.net FTP and announced that i will be leaving the FemBotCentral forum. That’s exactly what I have done.
The ASFR community should be a welcoming place for all aspects of the fetish, not just the closed-minded, Luddite ideas that certain moderators of the Discord and the forum have.
As such, the plans for this site is now being pushed forward. Coming soon will be a comprehensive full master list of all TV shows, movies, adverts, cartoons and anything else that featured robots, malebots, fembots and cyborgs, the list which i have an Excel spreadsheet already has over 400 entries.
There will also be a masterlist of ASFR related sites, INCLUDING sites which cover AI.
I now fully intend for this site to fully replace the dying Fembotcentral, and the shit-show that has become the Fembotwiki.
Many of you who have been around the A.S.F.R community for as long as i have will remember the original ASFR.NET
Set up as a directory, front window and meeting place for technosexuals, the original site was the front door into the many facets of the community that you now see today. Things have moved along since those early days though, and splintering of the community down personal preference lines has seen sections of what once was a “community” left to their own devices.
The whole point of this new ASFR.NET is to be the single point meeting place. A place where all members of this community can come to join in chats, or simply browse the different catagorys of external content that this site will soon be building up.
We will be welcoming to all the different facets of the community. From the pay-to-view content creators, the AI content makers, the story tellers to the bedrock of the community…the image manipulators. Also, since this will be the front door to the entire community, the site, forum and Discord will cover both Fembot and Malebot sides of the community as a whole…i think the site header probably gave that part away. As admin of the ASFR FTP server, access to the server will also be given in this forum, along with the hidden forum section of the FBC forum.
So, you are probably wondering whats to come? Here is the very rough roadmap for the 1st stage of the alt.sex.fetish.robot “front window”.
1: The Forum Not just covering Fembots, but also covering malebots. The “Cheers” of the ASFR community for all facets of technosexuality. From general chatter, to finds, it will be the only forum open to both the male and female site of the fetish.
2: Discord Once the forum is set up, with a theme that i am happy with, the Discord willl be the next thing to open up, again, covering all aspects of the ASFR community
3: The Image Repository This will not be a wiki. Wiki’s are far too complcated for a lot of people to get their head around, but the Wiki system is still probably the best “all round” system. Instead, we will be concentrating on images for the main album. At some point, a statis forum section along with a static page system on the wordpress main site will be ring-fenced for written storys as well, but thats way in the future.
There is a LOT still to do with this new site, and it may take a while, so excuse the dust while i get things sorted out!

It’s been basically a year since this site opened up and nothing much has been going on with it. However, that is about to change.
